Green vegetables and fresh fruits, with no argue promotes a good health to the body as well as dental health in particular. The contents it had such as minerals, vitamins and antioxidants available to these foods helps protect the teeth as well as the gums.   How you deal with the teeth after consuming the foods will bring problem such as teeth stain and erosion. Often the different foods we eat and liquids we drink. The bacteria can grow to the mouth without proper cleansing as the food particles will remain in the teeth. So you must practice a proper brushing regularly. Also fruits and vegetables can also help to protect the teeth from total decay. Below are some of the items you must consider in maintaining white and healthy teeth.

Citrus Fruits

Citrus fruits have more amounts of vitamin C. A lack of these vitamins will lead to weak teeth and bleeding gums as well. So with this, it is necessary to add fresh citrus fruits to your diet. Some of these include tomatoes, pineapples, and cucumbers. Also, fiber rich fruits are able to massage the gums as you chew them. Among these are watermelons, oranges, pears and other juice producing fruits which cleanses your mouth.

Apples Fruits

Apples are known to be the “nature’s toothbrush,” because of its fibrous texture yet not an ultimate cleanser. These are also good food for body conscious people.  This is a healthy diet to consider eating daily. However the apple juice can promote tooth decay unlike the fresh fruit so consider the difference of its effect to the teeth.

Leafy Green Vegetables

Leafy green vegetables are healthy to the body as well as to the teeth. They dark vegetable contains vitamins C, A, phosphorus, beta carotene, magnesium and calcium. These could include the cabbage, collard greens, chard, lettuce, mustard greens, kale, spinach, asparagus and watercress. These have sufficient minerals and vitamins and minerals to maintain as well as improve the oral health. Spinach contains a high amount of magnesium.
